who we are
Potluck for peace is a grassroots, volunteer effort of local community making a global impact through food & fellowship.
We host local community potluck events to raise awareness & money for organizations & people in need.
We are on a mission to bring people together over a share community meal to raise money for humanitarian efforts, organizations and people in need around the world.
To create a ripple of positive change in the world that helps foster peace.
Five good friends over a shared meal had the idea of raising money for an organization that needed help. Pam Gould, Hollis Gillespie, Annette Wawerna, Anita Mclees & Kathy Andrews created the first Potluck for Peace event in Atlanta GA in 2013 to raise money for Gua Africa.
Founded by Emmanuel Jal - former child soldier & Peace Activist this organization provides education programs for those affected by war and displacement in East Africa by primarily offering education to refugees who have survived war and genocide.
